Meet Our Eye Doctor At Ivy Hills Eyecare
Our eye doctors take the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing, and treating potential vision problems.

After 15 years of overseeing a bustling corporate optometry office, Dr. Brian VanDerPloeg recognized the need for his patients to have a more deserving and improved eye care experience. As a result, he established Ivy Hills Eyecare in July 2021, where he offers comprehensive eye care that goes beyond a rushed "get 'em in, get 'em out" vision check.
Born in Chicago and raised in south Florida, Dr. Brian VanDerPloeg graduated high school in Kentucky. He achieved academic excellence with magna cum laude honors, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology with a minor in Biology from Centre College in Danville, KY. His educational journey continued at the Indiana School of Optometry, where he graduated with honors and obtained his Doctorate degree in Optometry in 2006.
Dr. Brian VanDerPloeg adeptly manages patients with a wide array of eye diseases and conditions, including dry eye, macular degeneration, cataracts, allergies, and red eyes. His affinity for technology is evident throughout the eye examination process, highlighting his dedication to precision and innovation.
Currently residing in Anderson Township with his beautiful wife and two teenage sons, Dr. Brian VanDerPloeg finds joy in spending quality time with his family, reading comics, and indulging in his passion for baseball.
